And with a stainless steel platter and sealed load cell, this scale can function in moist enviornments - you will need to cover the plastic indicator though.

Can you set this scale up to be WITHOUT the pole or column?
A: Yes, this scale can be set up without the pole.

How much cable does this scale come with?
A: This scale comes standard with 7 1/2 ft. of cable.

What type of cable is this? Can you extend the cable?
A: This scale uses 4 core cable that can be bought at most any local store that carries electrical wire.  You will need to solder the cable and then recalibrate the scale. The recalibration can be done over the phone and is pretty easy to do.

What is the height of the pole from the base of the scale to the indicator (digital display)?
A: The height of the pole is 30 inches

Can you program this scale to let you know when what you are weighing is under weight or over weight?
A: Yes, this checkweigher will give an audible beep to let you know when your are over or under weight. The scale will also show "hi" on the screen when you are over weight and "low" when you are under weight.
