The cast aluminum case is weatherproof and can withstand the elements.  This scale can be in wet enviornments but cannot be submerged in water.

Can we purchase an extra rechargeable battery?
A: Yes, you can purchase an extra battery. Add $80 for each additional battery.
Charger works for a 100-220V.

Does the bottom hook swivel?
A: Yes, the bottom hook swivels 180 degrees. The top of the hook is stationary.

Is this waterproof?
A: This NC-1 scale is weatherproof and has a cast aluminum case which can withstand the nature's elements.  This scale cannot be submerged in water but can get wet.

Can I get a calibration certificate?
A: No, there is no calibration certificate that can be purchased with this scale.
