 FAQ's
Is this unit waterproof? A: The unit itself is not but the storm case is waterproof. Like most electronics you don't want to drench it, but it can get splashed lightly. It is recommended that you keep indicator in the case and take out the weighing unit to weigh your catch. It works great this way and prevents water damage.
How accurate is this scale? A: This scale weighs in two ranges (dual range). For weighing larger fish you would use the 2,000lb capacity accurate to 1lb (2,000lb x 1lb). For smaller fish and higher accuracy you would use the 200lb x 0.1lb range. 1/10th of 1% of weight.
Can we use this scale to weigh a "record" catch? Is this an IGFA tournament certified fishing scale? A: Yes, this is an IGFA tournament approved fishing scale that is pre-certified for 1 year and comes with a statement of calibration. Your scale will be registered with the IGFA so you can submit a certification with their "record weights" and there won't be a problem. Good luck and tight lines!

"you all know me. you know how I make a livin'. I'll catch this bird for ya, but it ain't gonna be easy. Bad fish. Not like going down to the pond chasin' blue gill and tommyhawks. This shark, swallow you whole. Steakin', tenderizin', down you go. And we gotta do it quick, that'll bring back the tourists that'll put all your businesses on a payin' basis, but it's not gonna be pleasant, I value my neck alot more than 3 thousand bucks, chief. I'll find him for 3, but i'll catch him and kill him for 10. Now, you gotta make up your minds, gonna stay alive and ante up? You gonna play it cheap and be on welfare the whole winter. I don't want no volunteers, I don't want no mates, theres too many captains on this island, 10 thousand dollars for me by myself, for that you get the head, the tail, the whole damn thing." - Quint
