The 250-20,000lb Digital hanging crane scale utilizes a highly accurate hanging load cell. Easy to install and operate, and comes pre-calibrated so you simply remove from the box and begin weighing.

The scale includes a 10 ft. of cable (we can add more cable, see below FAQ's) between the crane scale and the digital weight indicator. Indicatory features a 0.8" high LED display powered by a 120 VAC operation (standard wall outlet). The load cell is nickel plated tool steel and the overload capacity is rated 1.5 times the scale capacity. This crane scale also has a standard RS-232 interface which lets you connect this scale to a printer or personal computer.

Applications
The digital crane scale can be hung from a backloader or forklift or hung from a beam above.  Applications for digital crane scale can be used for almost any type of hanging application.  You can weigh engine motors or transmissions, fuel panels from planes, fish or other non-living animals, industrial parts or equipment, construction materials, and metal drums. Industrial crane scales or dynamometers are used in a variety of applications from industrial weighing, aerospace weighing, auto parts weighing, military weighing, advanced stock management, foundry weighing, entertainment overhead rigging, and offshore.

Rechargeable Battery
If you would like to add an internal rechargeable battery to the unit, please add an extra $85. The rechargeable battery will last 70-100hrs on one charge, but it's recommended that you charge the battery when not in use.  The shipping weight will also increase by 3lbs so the s/h cost will slightly increase.

FAQ's:

Does this measure in feet or kilograms?
A: This unit measures in both feet and kilograms.
What keys (functions) are on the indicator?
A: The keys are: LB/KG, ZERO, TARE, MEMORY, MEMORY CLEAR, PRINT & NET/GROSS
How long is the cable between the scale and the display?  And what if we want to extend the cable length - is there an additional cost?
A: The standard cable length is approx. 10-12ft.  Yes, please add $1.75 charge for each additional foot of cable you want to add. There will also be a $65 service fee to switch connectors.  This type of order you must call in - 800-620-7811.
I want to add a rechargeable battery to the crane scale - how do I add the battery and then checkout?
A: Above the shipping calculator is a drop down box.  Simply the capacity scale you wish to purchase and click "add to cart" and follow the checkout process.  For example, if you want a 2,500lb crane scale with a battery you would the "2,500lb x 0.5lb Crane Scale w/ Battery" option.
Is this waterproof?  Can we make it waterproof?
A: No, the standard crane scale is not waterproof.  However, we can add  stainless steel components and hermetacally seal the scale to make it waterproof. Call in to customize this scale or look at our NC-1 (250lb-1K) or Caston II (2-10K) or Caston III (10K-100K)crane scales (these three are all waterproof and enviornmentally sealed to IP67 standards). 
Can this scale do pull or stress testing or tension weighing?
A: The standard unit does not do stress testing. A simple upgrade where we set the software to capture the last weight (ie. peak hold) the scale registers before breaking is available. Call to place your order.
